  1. Well … there’s a reason we drop the s and call it the Pacific NorthWET. 😉 But the mountains stop (or at least drastically slow) the clouds, creating a “rain shadow” aka a magical happy place.

PS – I think I prefer the older R3 paint job. It used to look like wings.

  2. Your blog is a perfect guide for those who are looking for new routes to ride, I have to say the pictures and the text are really inviting.
Congrats for making it to the end of the road, I’m sure it was worth it.

    • Thank you very much! 🙂

I’ll confess a secret. I’d really like to publish a book one day. A few of the rides that I’m writing up are practice, and this is one of them. It was about a 45 mile ride, and I only saw one other cyclist during all that time; it’s such a beautiful place, more people should see it. And there are a lot of beautiful places out here. Still, if a cycling guide book never happens, I’m having a lot of fun … and I’m hoping other people are enjoying the pictures and stories. =)

  3. Hi Forrest, thanks so much for stopping by my blog and offering your great advice on cycling clipped in. I really appreciate good advice and have benefited so much learning from others’ experience, so I do try to give some of that back. I went out cycling with some friends yesterday and after loosening off the catch on the pedals and adjusting the cleats i had no more problems.
